Farmers’ Bridge and Loft32 are excited to announce a new service – Farm Family Legacy Videos. These videos capture the history of family farms as told by the people who helped build them. Memories and hopes will be preserved forever in video format to share with future generations.
Over 40% of Canadian farms will change hands before 2033 and 2/3 of farms do not have plans on how to make this happen. Farmers’ Bridge helps farms with this transition between generations, more efficiently and professionally, with a people-centric approach.
Loft 32 co-founder Crystal Mackay, together with Mary Thornley and Brenda Trask created the Grow Our People Unconference to promote learning and connection in the agri-food sector. They were awarded the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Excellence in Agriculture Award in 2023 for their leadership.

“Farmers are a unique bunch, and no two farms are the same,” explained Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel, farmer and program co-founder. “We designed this training on Utensil.ca specifically to help people learn how to be more successful in their business relationships with farmers.”
