Dana McCauley has a nose for the news and she uses it to sniff out the latest food trends that will affect the way we eat and cook today and tomorrow. Dana’s 25-year career has had touch points at almost all points along the agri-food chain. Originally trained as a chef, she has been a food editor, a cookbook author, a television personality and a food manufacturing executive for several international food manufacturing companies. Since 2015 she has leveraged her food trend insights and product development skills to help entrepreneurs to launch successful agri-food companies.
Dana is SIAL Canada’s Innovation Ambassador, which keeps her on the forefront of international grocery trends. In 2017, Dana was recognized as a Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner, an honour celebrating fearless female leaders whose efforts to succeed inspire others. In June 2016, Dana was profiled in Canadian Grocer Magazine.
